Updated information on Age of Beasts etc

Haven’t done much blogging for awhile. I’m not really sure what to do with the blog or where to go. I’d thought of doing reviews of nonfiction books, as well as discussing my stories and writing in general.

My Age of Beasts: Lost Cities is now self-published on Amazon, more info below.

I find it hard to focus, so many ideas in my head. Sometimes just open a doc and plunge in.

AGE OF BEASTS: The Lost Cities

Kyra Lynne leads a hard life as a scavenger and trader in a land where most humans are the property of the ruling beasts. Many consider her a valuable prize; including the slaver who captures her and soon realizes she knows the location of the legendary forbidden weapons from a fallen race centuries past.

After escaping the slaver Kyra soon winds up being sold to the Holstein royal family who are preparing to host a visit from rulers of the Panthera and Canine empires. Because of her experience she is nominated to lead an expedition to the lost cities accompanied by the slaver who wants to find the weapons to sell and the Panthera who want them destroyed.

Prince Meateus, heir to the Holstein Empire feels this expedition will increase his empire’s prominence. Major losses are experience are experienced along the way and the prince discovers things he wishes he never knew and comes to realize Kyra does not belong with his people, but his most devastating loss is learned on the trip home.

AGE OF BEASTS: War Of The Beasts

Kyra Lynne finds herself deeply involved once again when bird riding invaders attack the kingdoms. Unexpected alliances are made and the losses are severe.

Once upon a time the small Fox spoke to the God in the sky and implored, “Why must we suffer for the sins of man? Give us a chance to rule this world and we could do better.”

The God of the sky regarded the Fox.” No, my creation, you too would fall as they have.”

The Fox persisted in his insistence. Finally the God of the skies again regarded the Fox and said, “Very well, the beasts shall have their time. You shall rule and humans be yours. But know this: you must stay away from the humans’ most dangerous weapons. Plus, you are forbidden to drive other species, including humans, to extinction. If one of your kind fails, your species will all together be ended.”

“We shall not fail,” the Fox replied.

Coming soon.

Other stuff I’m working on:

Make Your Writing Stand Out

Dead But Not Forgotten edited by Charlaine Harris, a collection of books based on characters from the Sookie Stackhouse series. And not a very interesting collection either. Among the stories are Tyger, Tyger, about were tiger Quinn. I found it rather unbelievable.

The title of Diantha’s Christmas story I don’t recall, mostly a lot of talk, talk, talk.

Widower’s Walk was Eric’s story. Remember the adage show don’t tell? The author didn’t remember it.
